This 1300 acre forest is a privately funded nonprofit organization and includes 17 miles of trails and a
mile-long boardwalk. There is a marsh with an overlooking observation blind. A small combined nature
center and museum is open from 8-5 daily, while trails are open dawn till dusk. A bird checklist of 246
species is available. Organized bird and nature hikes, as well as other programs, are available. Admission fee.
Located in Bellevue off of Hwy 75. Turn left onto Chandler road, at Bellevue Blvd turn right and follow
until you reach the nature center.

Schramm Park's 330 acres sits along the Platte River. This area also has 3 miles of trails and offers great views.
The Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium can be found here, as well as the state's first fish hatchery. State park entry permit

Chalco Hills Recreation Area and Wehrspan Reservoir:
The 245-acre Wehrspann Lake is surrounded by 940 acres of trees and grasses. There are more than 7 miles of trails to hike, bike, or jog. There is an arboretum, natural resource center, a wildlife observation platform, and a universally accessible fishing pier.
Located near Highway 50 and Interstate 80. It is bounded by I-80, 168th St., and Giles Road.

Walnut Creek is a 105-acre flood control reservoir surrounded by a 450-acre park with tall grasses and
